It was supposed to be just for the summer...
Some people just don't belong together, or at least that's what the world would have them believe.
Reese Westfield comes from a world of old money, country clubs, cotillions and expensive cars. She's tired of dating Warren Mccarthy just to make her father happy. Reese has long since had her eye on someone else, and this summer she's determined to make it happen.
Growing up in Lake Loveless there has always been a strict monetary divide - there was the rest of the lake and then there were the Waterman's. Ace Waterman has worked for everything he has, and he doesn't have a lot. He breaks his back doing grunt work while putting himself through college, he's used to life passing him by.
Reese has loved Ace from afar for as long as she can remember. The summer of her freshman year she comes home with plans to land Ace in her bed atleast for a few short weeks, and if she's lucky, forever.
Ace has loved Reece for as long as he can remember, but their friendship has never graduated beyond platonic, so when Reece comes home from her first year away and proposes the two have a summer fling, Ace is quick to comply.
Review:
I downloaded this book a while ago onto my kindle and never bothered to actually read it, last night I picked it randomly and began to read it. The further on I got into the book the more I began to love the characters with the exception of Warren. I became wrapped up in the love story of Ace and Reese and couldn't put the book down until I finished it about two hours later. It was an absolutely brilliant book and I may read it again.

Three Girls and a Baby
Author: Rachel Schurig
Published: November 28, 2013
Print Length: 278 pages
Description:
Ginny Mckensie's life is spiralling out of control.
Finished with college, she should have been planning her wedding. After all, Ginny and Josh were made for each other, - everyone said so. Except the love of her life didn't agree.
Now Ginny, is back in her hometown, unwillingly single, and stuck in a dead-end job. When she discovers she's pregnant, Ginny is convinced her life is ending. Instead of planning a future with Josh, she's learning the truth about morning sickness, juggling bills, and seeing just how far designer jeans can stretch.
Her life plan never included dating again, or being a single mother at 23. Now, with the help of her best friends, Annie and Jen, Ginny must try to re-imagine - and rebuild - a life she never wanted.
Review:
Honestly, I didn't enjoy this book all that much and just skimmed through it. It was quite boring and I did not particularly like the characters, Especially the main character she was far to annoying and needy, I honestly can't say that I will be reading the rest of the books in the series.

Looking for Alaska

Description:
Miles Halter is fascinated by famous last words - and tired of his safe, boring and rather lonely life at home. He leaves for boarding school filled with cautious optimism, to seek what the dying poet Francois Rabelais called the 'Great Perhaps', Much awaits Miles at Culver Creek, including Alaska Young. Clever, funny, screwed-up and dead sexy, Alaska will pull Miles into her labyrinth and catapult him into the Great Perhaps.
Review:
As with all John Green books at first I found it quite hard to get into as I feel the books drag on a little. Although I absolutely adore his books as they are all so realistic and never have any happy endings. The plot of this book was brilliant and shows how one persons life can so greatly affect another in such a short time. I loved the characters in the book especially Alaska! I definitely recommend you give it a go.

What's a girl to do when the whole world wants to see her fail?Give in, or go down fighting...
Review:
First of all I will definitely say I didn't put this book down from the first word. It only took me about one hour to read it and it was amazing! I honestly have no words to describe this book it was brilliant. It really shows how vital family is too us and how without family and their support life is certainly bleak and dull.

Review:
I found this book absolutely amazing and really heartfelt with lots of surprises along the way. It shows how important making the right decisions are and how greatly the can affect your life. Of course I always adore the love stories in the books I read and this one was definitely no different.
It was an average length book although I got through it quite easily and in no time at all!
The plot of the book was good and there was not one boring part throughout the whole book.

The Beach Cafe

Description:
Evie Flynn has always been the black sheep of her family - a dreamer and a drifter, unlike her over achieving elder sisters. She's tried making a name for herself as an actress, a photographer and a singer, but nothing has ever worked out. Now she's stuck in temp hell, with a sensible, pension planning boyfriend. Somehow life seems to be passing her by,
Then her beloved aunt Jo dies suddenly in a car crash, leaving Evie an unusual legacy - her precious beach cafe in Cornwall. Determined to make a success of something for the first time in her life, Evie heads off to Cornwall to get the cafe and her life back on track - and gets more than she bargained for, both in work and in love...
Review:
I thought this book was absolutely fabulous, I adored Evie and and all her friends, Lucy Diamond is brilliant at making her characters come to life and they seem so realistic. Of-course like all romance books it was somewhat predictable, but after all isn't that why we love them so much?
This is definitely a brilliant summer read, I decided to read it as I had read Summer at Shell Cottage last week and decided to give some of her other books a go. I can safely say that I will be looking forward to reading more of Lucy's books in the very near future they are brilliant and Lucy is a very talented author, definitely one of my new favourites!
